It is clear to me that the largest scientific instrument devoted to atom smashing should be located in Texas.  How did we let this slide?  Who fell asleep at the switch?  Why wasn’t there some sort of new space race?  What is next, the world’s largest ball of wax is constructed in Denmark?  It is time to step up to the plate, and get a bigger one of these things in Texas.
